Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: State license required in hand to submit Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Mandatory competency in phlebotomy. Mandatory competency in placing IVs. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. Experience with rapid response team activation. Familiarity with peripheral line care and management. Knowledge of non-invasive airway management. Understanding of isolation precautions. Description: RNs are required to have mandatory skills in phlebotomy and IV placement. This is a required skill for all RNs. Night shift ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1. In case of staff calling in, ratios may stretch to 8-10. PCTs are available on all units for vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily living. Candidates are expected to interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively. Knowledge of O2 delivery methods and management is essential. Experience with bladder scanners, tele monitoring, and EKG machines is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to float between units as needed. Remote time off is limited to 1 week during the contract period.
